L-PhenyPet
L-Phenylalanine This natural amino acid is a powerful, non-addictive analgesic, found in clinical research to be as effective in relieving pain as morphine or opiates. It seems to be responsible for increasing the activity of brain endorphins believed to be involved in the analgesic response. Often helps pets have superior responses to other types of pain treatment. May also help alleviate depression from long term pain or illness and reduce some seizure activity.

From Azmira
Seizures can be the result of a chemical or hormonal imbalance, trauma to the head, viral infection accompanied by high fevers, genetic pre-dispositions, pesticides, vaccinations, aluminum poisoning from feeding dishes, lead toxicity, and even chemical toxins from artificial colors and preservatives (in foods, treats, plastic dishes and even toys). Medications such as Phenobarbital can lessen the severity of the seizure but leaves the pet listless and sometimes despondent, as well as other side-effects. Nutritional therapy, especially through herbal and amino acid support have proven effective in reducing and at times eliminating seizures completely, without any negative side-effects. The use of herbs, as found in our Calm & Relax (for general seizures) and the amino acids L-Phenylalanine (when vitality is low, adrenals depleted) or L-Tryptophan (seizures are triggered by excitability), have proven to be excellent at addressing seizure activity. Higher levels of Zinc, Selenium, Co-Q10 and B vitamins as found in Mega Pet Daily are also beneficial in stabilizing brain activity. This condition is preventable, for the most part, through natural rearing. Be sure to avoid the over use of vaccinations and chemical sprays, dips and collars.
