This pack is for birds weighing less than 425 grams. Birds larger than 425 grams might be uncomfortable being too close to the top of the carrier. This pack is not recommended for the Congo African Grey. See the sizing details below.
This pack does not have a rigid metal frame or cage. The frame is supported by rigid plastic.
NOTE: Please, indicate in the comments of your order if an alternate color would be acceptable, in case your chosen color is out of stock.
Many Pak-o-Birds are out of stock for 3-4 weeks. The Pak-o-Birds with the tail pouch are made to order, and they take 3-4 weeks before they are shipped.
- Lightweight hi-tech sailcloth material
laminated with a layer of heavy duty fiber (higher price) in Sandy Gold or
1680 Denier Nylon in Olive (both with reflective white strips on the front and black trim).
The mesh is Nylon or the optional Steel Mesh.
- Four perch positions (two can be used for attaching the feed cups;
there is additional two holes toward the front of the carrier for the feed cups)
- A dense mesh is used to minimize the possibility of mosquitoes entering the carrier
and avoid the bird from sinking its beak through the mesh open space.
As such, visibility (to see the bird inside) through the mesh may not be as high as bird owners desire.
NOTE: Once this carrier has been used, it CANNOT be returned.
It is BOTH a front and back carrier as well as a shoulder carrier.
A level of rings for securing the straps - the middle rings are for the backpack position
and the outer rings are for the front carrier position. All of the straps are adjustable.
There are two D-Rings on each side on the interior roof of the carrier for hanging bird toys.
Please remove any toy when the carrier is in motion.
The back of the carrier as well as the front/back straps are padded for your comfort.
The carrier can be unzipped to open up for a complete cleaning (Hand wash recommended).
A removable bottom floor panel is added for daily use.
One curtain in the exterior of each side for privacy.
They can be rolled up and attached or draped down and attached.
Same for the front window flap. There are two strips of 'sky light' in the back that are not covered.
The Pak-o-Bird's sides and front can be unzipped and folded in so it's very compact and can be stored away.

Optional Stainless Steel Mesh
The optional stainless steel mesh replaces the nylon mesh.
Each square inch has 100x100 stainless steel threads of approximately 0.0035mm diameter.
It is dense enough to minimize the possibility of the bird sinking its beak into it and
yet allows a reasonable amount of viewing from the outside.
Please kindly note that there will be creases created on the stainless steel mesh during the manufacturing process and shipping.
Creases on the metal mesh are not reversible.
