Locate each litterbox in a quiet private place easily accessible to your cat. The corner litterbox enables you to make use of wasted corner spaces. Have your cat spayed or neutered at or before six months of age to prevent him/her from marking territory with urine and feces. Provide litter that appeals to your cat. Cats prefer natural, unscented litter. Avoid using litterbox liners or litterbox additives which may be irritating to some cats. Hoods on litterboxes should also be avoided. Clean the litterboxes daily. Dirty litter repels cats. Confine kittens and new cats to one room of until they have used their litterbox consistently for several days.
